COFFEE ON THE ROCKS vol. 2 | MARCH 25, 2024

An afternoon full of contents, with news from all the partners and interactive workshops themed on coffee, ice and water!

The 2024 edition moves to Milan, and more precisely to the prestigious BWT showroom in Via Vivaio 8, near Piazza San Babila in the heart of the Milan design district. For the occasion, the partners will meet to show participants the results of the latest research, technologies and knowledge in their specific sectors, and how all three elements of their expertise come together to create a final product of great excellence.

The quality of water is in fact a fundamental requirement, the basis of every drink that deals with both coffee and ice.

BWT provides technologies and systems that can treat any type of water anywhere in the world, standardizing the result to guarantee the same taste in the cup wherever it is produced, without forgetting the importance of preserving the correct functioning of the equipment by keeping it free from deposits of limestone. However, all work on water must find its place in high quality equipment and excellent raw materials. Having a base of knowledge about the bean and its origins allows you to make an informed choice, and La Marzocco machines create a perfect result, both at the bar and in the small restaurant, as well as at home.

By combining the two elements in the world of mixology, Scotsman Ice comes into play strongly with the range of ice makers that guarantee optimal quality and shape for the various drinks:

  • GOURMET CUBE – excellent for filter coffee, espresso, iced coffee and all cocktails.
  • NUGGET ICE – for better use in mixed drinks and smoothies.

The program is further enriched thanks to the participation of other leading entities:
Carpigiani Group, experts in the production of ice cream machines, will involve those present in a special tasting created specifically for the event
Toddy LLC, brings a taste of cold brew prepared by its innovative machines
Bugan Coffee Lab, a specialty roaster at the top of all the rankings thanks to the results in the SCA competitions of recent years, brings its experience as an Italian reality and the path traveled together with Federico Pinna – Italian Barista Champion 2024 – present for the occasion with his vision of the sector.

Lots of technical content intertwined with practical tasting activities, tests and lessons on the perfect Espresso and Espresso-based cocktail. At the end of the day, an aperitif will be offered with cocktails prepared by the expert hands of exceptional guests from the world of mixology: Giorgio Chiarello
